HALEY ROBERTS

 is a Virginia-based illustrator who creates art inspired by the life she’s living—and the stage she never quite left. She began creating art to help others navigate grief and child loss, using illustration as a tool for comfort, remembrance, and healing.

 

Today, her work draws inspiration from the things she loves, from theatre and women’s history to the humor of everyday life, and the charm of her small town. Through her art, she celebrates the people, places, and little things that make life meaningful.

As a theatre enthusiast, Haley collaborates with theatre companies across the USA to create products celebrating the arts and one-of-a-kind custom theatre portraits that turn fleeting moments on stage into lasting keepsakes. She’s been pursuing her creative dream for The Last Five Years (musical theatre pun intended).

With no formal visual art education beyond one semester in 8th grade, Haley proves you don’t need a traditional path to pursue your passion. When she’s not wrangling her five children, she works as a professional intimacy choreographer and actress and teaches performing arts. She also enjoys biking, eating potatoes, sewing elaborate costumes for her kids, belting out musical theatre songs, reading self-help books, and avoiding ironing at all costs.

Haley graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Fashion Merchandising program with Honors, after attending Brigham Young University’s Music Dance Theatre program and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts High School Drama program.
